Ischia - Capri - Amalfi . Cruise no. 4

Ischia - Capri - Amalfi

Join us for a cruise through the waters of the Bay of Naples.

We will be sailing for 10 days. The duration of the cruise will enable you to get proper rest, visit and learn more about regional landmarks, and be treated to sufficient sailing time. Our cruise dates overlap with optimal weather conditions, and follow carefully delineated routes that will provide you with an unforgettable experience. Time for a true seafaring experience!

The cruise will take place in high season, which spans from June through late September. July is the perfect month for inter-island sailing. Peak temperatures are not at the annual high, and sea water is warm following intensive sun exposure.

Air temperatures at daytime oscillate around 30°C, dipping to 25ºC at night.

Estimated water temperature: 23ºC.

The cruise begins in Castellmare di Stabia. During the cruise, we will anchor at such ports as Procida, Ischia, Capri, Amalfi, Positano, and Sorrento.

The route suggested above is subject to change depending on weather conditions. It is possible to sail at night (1 night).

ABOUT THE YACHT:

We use a comfortable, 3-cabin, 15-meter Dufour 485 Grand Large yacht.

DESCRIPTION OF PLACES VISITED DURING THE CRUISE:

PONZA

Ponza is the largest of the Pontian Islands. Its craggy coast is full of little coves, caverns, limestone rocks, and granite columns. It is best accessible from the sea. Ponza is home to the beautiful beach of Chiaia di Luna.

PALMAROLA

Known as the jewel in the crown of the archipelago, Palmarola is a protected natural habitat. Its pristine state and diverse coastline make it one of Europe’s (and the world’s) most beautiful islands.

VENTOTENE

This picturesque island, with plentiful diving spots and charming beaches, possesses a rich history – its fame dates back to antiquity, when it became home to the exiled daughter of the Roman emperor Octavian.

SAN STEFANO and ZANNONE

The two islands are part of a national park. While on San Stefano, visitors may stop by the ruins of a panoptic prison, with a circle of cells guarded by the sentry tower in the middle of the structure.

ISCHIA

Ischia is the largest of the Phlegrean Islands. This volcanic island continues to haunt with volcanic steam and treats visitors to sulfuric hot springs. Major attractions include Poseidon Gardens (a complex of pools and gardens), as well as one of the world’s most exquisite and marvelous castles. Situated on a minute, secluded islet, it was for a long time an unconquered fortress and the sole safe haven from pirate raids.

CAPRI

The most famous island in the Bay of Naples, this mountainous islet is a guarantee of gorgeous landscape and unforgettable views. Sailing around Capri, you may admire the magnificent formations of Faraglioni, as well as the grottos of Blue Marinno and Verde.

PROCIDA

The smallest of all islands in the Bay, Procida’s inhabitants have been historically reluctant to mass tourism, thus helping preserve its authentic and romantic character. It is here that the blue and green colors of the see melt with the azure sky and pastel architecture.

Amalfi Coast

Considered as one of the world’s most beautiful coasts, the Amalfi Coast merges majestic mountains with clean, azure seas. In the Middle Ages, Amalfi was a powerful trade centre. Remnants of its glorious past have been preserved to this day, including its 13th century cathedral. The town of Amalfi straddles steep, picturesque cliffs that traverse the coastal line. It is made up of narrow and winding streets and countless staircases. Nearby lies the town of Positano, a scenic little town squeezed between two cliffs that overlook the turquoise sea.
